"I have yet to live without you

Perhaps I never will

Perhaps the key to grief is

You are always with me still"

Honouring the Life of Your Loved One

Inspired by my journey through loss, the path of becoming a funeral celebrant was not so much

a career but a calling.

I am passionate about providing support and compassion during what can be a challenging time,

and it is a privilege to help people commemorate their loved ones at the end of their life journey.

I will work with you to create an individual and meaningful service that captures their life and comforts those who knew them.

My name is Katie. I am a fully insured and qualified Funeral Celebrant with a

NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy.

I am also honoured to be an Ambassador for the Road Victims Trust,
a charity based in Bedfordshire (covering Herts, Beds and Cambs) which is dedicated to supporting people who have been affected by the grief and trauma of a road death or a serious injury or

life-changing injury collisions.

About Me

As every life is unique, then every service should be, too.

I love learning about people and creating a funeral where everyone in the room will recognise the departed soul

on some level.

When I conduct a ceremony, I bring passion, warmth, openness, calmness, and, when appropriate, humour to the service.

Every person is an individual; your loved one deserves to be honoured in a way that genuinely reflects

who they were.

My Services

Funeral Service

I offer personalised funeral services, whether burial, cremation, woodland burial or any other farewell you wish.  This includes meeting with you to create a service that captures the essence of your loved one through music, poetry, visual tributes, readings and, if required, symbolic acts.

Memorial Service

This is an organised event with a pre-arranged programme of activities, including readings, music and speeches from the departed's loved ones. Unlike a traditional funeral, there are no time constraints; it can occur anytime and anywhere, there are no limits on what can be included and it often has a more celebratory, informal and relaxed feel.

Scattering of Ashes

A  ceremony to scatter ashes can be incredibly moving, especially if you choose a place that you love or which brings back memories of the person who has died. I can help you focus on participating in the ceremony, whilst being reassured that all the practical arrangements are in hand.

I will work with you to ensure whatever vision you have, we create a memorable and lasting tribute to your loved one.

Kind Words

"Just a quick email to say a heartfelt thank you for delivering a lovely service to honour our Mum.  Your ears may have been burning this afternoon as all the guests continued to speak of how fab you were. Xxx  You did our Mum and us proud, Thank you Katie. " - Theresa

I know my sister has already messaged you, but I also wanted to show my appreciation to you for Dad's service on Thursday. It was fabulous, you did an amazing job and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. So many people commented on what a lovely service it was and how wonderful you were. His sister who was watching on the webcam said you got him spot on, praise indeed!  Thank you so much for making a very difficult day much easier. - Mhairi

"It was a lovely service last Friday. My brother had said it was one of the best he's been too and loved the poem A BIG HUG AND A HUGE THANK YOU.". - Maxine

I thank you so much for the words you said at my dad’s funeral and the whole effort and work you put into it. It can’t be an easy task, but you handled it with such care and love. Hearing you speak about him sounded like you had known him for 30 years. It was a lovely farewell to him and you made it so very personal and special.

We appreciate the care you put into it, making everything so simple and easy for us. We are so privileged you did this, and Colin would have loved and appreciated how well it went and how lovely the farewell was.

You have been so lovely and kind to myself and my family. You truly are a compassionate and wonderful person" - Emily
